The Maruti Suzuki Baleno is one of India's favorite premium-looking hatchback cars in 2025. The new generation Baleno comes with exciting updates. The Maruti Suzuki makes a comeback with all-new styles and designs, with better fuel efficiency and a comfortable driving experience. Maruti also produces marketing on a large scale to enhance sales and competition. Although you are a first-time car buyer or looking for a reliable daily driving vehicle, this new version of the Baleno provides you with a great blend of performance, safety, and advanced features. In this article, we will discuss all specifications of the Baleno 2025, with price and real-world performance, to choose the best car for you.

What’s New in the 2025 Maruti Suzuki Baleno?

The new Baleno looks more attractive and stylish than before due to some changes. It has a new front grille, pointed headlights, brand-new alloy wheels, and a redesigned bumper, which gives a sportier feel to the car. The new generation Baleno also has a beautiful and advanced interior with a 9-inch touchscreen display that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay to connect your mobile phone. Maruti Suzuki also considered better safety for their users as they increased the number of airbags to around 6, with an electronic stability program and child seat locks.

 Engine, Mileage, and Performance

The new Maruti Suzuki Baleno launched with a 1.2-liter petrol engine that provides a smooth and quiet drive. It produces enough power to generate 90 PS and 113 nanometer torque. You can choose between a 5-speed manual or a fully automatic gearbox. When it comes to fuel efficiency, the Baleno provides around 22 to 23 km per liter mileage, depending on the version. Many users get 25 km of mileage on the main highway. It's easy to drive in traffic due to its small size and feels stable on long drives, making it a good daily-use car.

 Safety Features in Baleno 2025

The modern Baleno is much safer than before with the mind-blowing safety rating of 4 stars for adults and 3 stars for children, according to the data of India's new crash test system. The top models, like Zeta and Alpha, come with six airbags, while other base models have two airbags, as well as the new generation Baleno, which also provides ABS and EBD braking systems for better control, hill hold assist, ISOFIX for child seats, and rear parking sensors. The top model also has a 360° camera for easy parking. Overall, the Baleno now provides good safety with comfort.

Advantages and disadvantages of Maruti Suzuki Baleno

Advantages

1) The car has a spacious cabin with a big boot space, perfect for family use.

2) It provides a good pack of mileage with around 22-23 km per liter and is also affordable to maintain.

 3) Maruti Suzuki has a huge service network, and the cars also have good resale value.

 Disadvantages

1) It has only one option in engine, which is a 1.2-liter petrol engine with no turbo.

2) The automatic gearbox is not smooth to use.

3) Features like a sunroof and rear armrest are missing in the lower version.

 Baleno vs. Competitors

The primary reason that makes the Baleno compete in their segment is due to its affordability and fuel efficiency in the hatchback category. It starts with a purchaseable price with good mileage, making it great for domestic use. The Tata Altroz is also very safe and has different variants in engine, but its mileage is slightly lower.Likewise, the Hyundai i20 provides premium features, but it's unaffordable for many customers and gives less mileage, about 20 kilometers. So, according to me, Baleno is a clear winner in their segment.

Is the 2025 Maruti Suzuki Baleno Worth Buying?

If you need an affordable, comfortable, and fuel-efficient car with advanced features, then the Baleno is a better option for you, as it has better mileage with various service centers nearby. As well, the new Baleno also has better boot space and cabin space. Furthermore, the resale value of the Baleno is also considerably better than others, but if you want a powerful engine and super smooth automatic gearbox, then you can consider other options like the Hyundai i20 or Tata Altroz.
